For your domain name to be activated, please check if the following conditions has been met:

1. For new domain name registration (if you purchase/register the domain from us)

Nothing needs to be done from your side. If you just bought the domain name when ordering our hosting services, please allow up to 24 hours before your domain name is accessible through your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Though due to our Automated Name Server feed system customers will find this to be much sooner – in some countries almost immediately – USA, Mexico, India and Most Eurpoean Countries.

2. If you already own your domain name and have decided to keep your domain name with your current domain provider/registrar:

Please update your domain name to point to our name servers which you will get on your welcome email – See below for detailed instruction
If you have update your domain’s DNS to point to our DNS servers, you can try to refresh your own computer’s DNS cache by doing the following:

1. On Windows, click on the Start button, then click Run, type cmd and click Ok.
2. You should get C:\>
3. Do this: C:\>ipconfig /flushdns
4. C:\>ping yourdomain.com
5. After you do the ping, you should see the same IP Address as you see in your New Account Information. If your IP is still not pointing to our IP Address, simply allow 24 hours for your ISP to refresh their DNS cache.

25 simultaneous mysql connection is a lot. Basically a forum with 300-400 active members, would only hit this 25 simultaneous connection once a while. You should choose to use a good optimised forum script. We strongly recommend vbulletin forum scripts , over phpBB, IPB, or SMF board for serious forums usage.

For the CPU usage, its rarely that you hit the 25% cpu usage. Unless your site is script intensive and require more logic processing or in other words is process intensive.

A question we are often asked is regarding flash websites, will it hit this quota. Very unlikely, because a flash file is downloaded to user browser and played from browser. This makes use of bandwidth only and not CPU.

However, if you find your websites hitting the cpu usage quota or when you are about to exceed the maximum cpu usage limit – here’s a quick solution to get around it:

Turn off the awstat that comes for your account from within your Cpanel.
Awstats is quite resource intensive – by turning this off, you gain more cpu resource for your accounts use.

Note: WordPress Hosting Plans have a larger maximum limit of 30 – 50 simultaneous mysql connections.If you are using WordPress for your sites then we recommend you upgrade to any of the WordPress Hosting Plans.

We have set limit upon the number of concurrent MySQL connections on our shared cPanel hosting servers which prevents any MySQL database from establishing more than 25 concurrent connections at any given time. This connection limit allow us to keep our server load under control most of the time and our 99.95% uptime guarantee has been successful mainly due to the MySQL connection limits and Apache concurrent connection limits. Websites with less than 5000 unique visitors per day should not be concerned at all as our MySQL connection limits and Apache connection limits make no difference for those who get less than 5000 unique visitors a day.
